In recent years, medical care has become increasingly diverse and complex, owing to the rapid development of related technologies. To provide optimal medical care to patients, physicians should have deeper expertise based on a variety of backgrounds. Therefore, physicians must efficiently collect the latest rapidly evolving medical information in their busy daily practice.
CareNet conducted a survey of its physician members to clarify the usage and satisfaction levels of CareNet.com. We introduce the results obtained from a total of 1,106 members.

・The satisfaction rating of CareNet.com was mostly “8” on a 10-point scale. Approximately 60% of the respondents indicated a high level of satisfaction between 8 and 10 (10 being the most satisfied and 1 being the least satisfied).
・80% of the physicians use CareNet.com at least once a week, including approximately 20% who answered that they use CareNet.com almost every day.
・Physicians use CareNet.com to view the latest medical news, learn clinical and drug information useful for diagnosis and treatment, and obtain the latest drug information.
・There will continue to be a strong need for the “latest medical news” and “clinical/pharmaceutical information useful for diagnosis and treatment,” as well as a need for “the latest clinical research/evidence information related to specialized fields.”
The sample composition of the responding physicians by department is as follows.

When the physicians were asked about their level of satisfaction with CareNet.com on a 10-point scale (10 being the most satisfied and 1 being the least satisfied), the most common ratings for both GP* and HP** were “8” (GP: 33%, HP: 26%), followed by “7” (GP: 16%, HP: 16%). For both GP and HP, 57 % of the respondents answered “8” or above, indicating that many physicians are somewhat satisfied with CareNet.com.

When asked how often they use CareNet.com, the most common response for both GP and HP was “twice a week or more” (GP: 43%, HP: 33%), followed by “almost every day” (GP: 22%, HP: 26%).
When asked about usage in a multiple-answer format, the most common answer was “during breaks on workdays” (GP: 51%, HP: 60%), followed by “before/after workdays” (GP: 39%, HP: 34%).
80% of both GP and HP physicians (GP: 83%, HP: 81%) use CareNet.com at least once a week, often on workdays.

When asked about the purpose of using CareNet.com in a multiple-answer format, the most common response for both GP and HP was “viewing the latest medical news” (GP: 72%, HP: 67%). The next most common response for GP was “learn clinical/pharmaceutical information useful for diagnosis and treatment” (41%) and for HP, “obtain the latest drug information” (33%).

Finally, when asked about the content of CareNet.com that they wanted increase in the future, the most common response for both GP and HP was “the latest medical news” (GP: 43 %, HP: 41%). The next most common response for GP was “clinical/pharmaceutical information useful for diagnosis and treatment” (40%) and for HP, “the latest clinical research/evidence information related to specialized fields” (30%).
